Karachi: In Sindh, they’ve chosen to place tracking devices in cars and motorcycles.
A gathering about law and order took place, led by Sindh Chief Minister Maqbool Baqer. The meeting included provincial ministers, Chief Secretary Sindh, Interior Secretary Iqbal Memon, and others.
The Interior Secretary mentioned that the Special Branch is working to bring back illegal immigrants. They’re identifying locations of local business centers owned by illegal immigrants and arranging transportation and other necessities for their return.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sindh instructed law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough combing operation. He also requested the Census Commissioner to provide records of the 2023 census for foreigners.
The Caretaker Chief Minister also directed the Prosecutor General to handle cases involving illegal immigrants.
Decision to place tracking devices in cars and motorcycles
As per the spokesperson, it was decided during the meeting to install tracking devices in cars and motorcycles.
The meeting also noted that the Sindh government has made the required changes in the Motor Vehicle Ordinance.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce should mandate the installation of tracking devices in motorcycles and cars across the province.
