In Lahore, Ishaq Dar, former finance minister and leader of the (N) League, stated that the PMLN has become the most significant political party in the National Assembly.
Dar, sharing his thoughts on social media platform X, mentioned that the election outcome is widely known.
He asserted that based on the data gathered by the Election Cell of the Muslim League (N), the Pakistan Muslim League (N) has emerged as the leading political party in the National Assembly and holds a decisive majority in the Punjab Assembly.
He mentioned that we should avoid making early and biased guesses while we wait for the complete official results from the Election Commission.
The former finance minister stated that independent candidates will align with a party within 72 hours. It’s a must.
Ishaq Dar emphasized that they cannot compel anyone to join their party. Although they are the majority party in Punjab, the delay in election results shouldn’t have happened. If independent candidates don’t join their party, they won’t secure the reserved seats, as mentioned by Nawaz Sharif. Even if they have the majority, they will collaborate with other parties.
The PML-N leader pointed out that according to the results until 3 o’clock in the morning, PML-N was winning more seats. He questioned why mobile phones were switched off yesterday when PML-N was leading, even though the results were still coming in.
Ishaq Dar noted that independent candidates in Punjab are far from achieving the success of PML-N.
It’s worth mentioning that, according to the results released by the Election Commission of Pakistan so far, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) is leading with 17 seats.
