In the National Assembly election results, independent candidates secured the first place, while the PML-N came in second.

Following the general elections held on February 8, the results for all national and provincial assemblies have been finalized.

According to unofficial results of the 2024 general elections, independent candidates backed by Tehreek-e-Insaf are leading in the National Assembly with 93 seats. The Muslim League-N has secured 75 seats, and the People’s Party has won 54 seats so far.

Other notable results include the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan winning 17 seats, with 8 seats going to other independent candidates, 3 to the Muslim League (Q), 4 to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, and 2 each to Stability Pakistan Party and Balochistan National Party. Additionally, the Pashtun Khwa Milli Awami Party, Muslim League Zia, National Party, Pashtun Khwa National Awami Party Pakistan, Balochistan Awami Party, and Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen each secured one seat.

In terms of party leaders’ successes, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif defeated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf-backed independent candidate Dr. Yasmin Rashid in National Assembly Constituency NA-130 in Lahore. Chairman of the People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari won two seats in the National Assembly from NA-194 Larkana and NA-196 Qamber Shahdadkot. Sardar Akhtar Mengal, head of Balochistan National Party Mengal Group, emerged victorious from National Assembly Constituency NA-256 Khuzdar, while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman won from NA-256 Pishin. MQM Pakistan chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui secured victory in NA-248 from Karachi.

In terms of provincial assembly seats, the People’s Party is poised to form the government in Sindh with 84 out of 130 seats. In Punjab, the Muslim League-N leads with 131 seats, while the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly results show independent candidates winning 90 out of 113 seats, with JUI securing 7, Muslim League-N 5, and Jamaat-e-Islami and People’s Party 4 each. Lastly, in the Balochistan Assembly, the People’s Party secured 11 seats, followed by the Muslim League-N with 9 seats, and JUI with 8 seats. Balochistan Awami Party, Awami National Party, and National Party each secured 2 seats, with 5 independent candidates also successful.
