In Islamabad, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted a reference in the 190 million pound case, implicating Imran, his wife, and others.
NAB has lodged the reference in Islamabad’s Accountability Court, targeting the Chairman of PTI in the 190 million pound scandal, with several other individuals named as accused.
The reference, filed by NAB Rawalpindi, includes eight accused individuals, such as Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, Farah Gogi, former adviser on accountability Shehzad Akbar, Imran Khan’s close associate Zulfi Bukhari, and barrister Zia-ul-Mustafa.
Deputy Prosecutor General of NAB, Muzaffar Abbasi, submitted the reference along with investigating officer Umar Nadeem, and the Accountability Court Registrar’s Office has overseen the investigation.
It is worth noting that PTI Chairman Imran Khan, currently detained in Adiala Jail, has been apprehended by NAB in connection with this case. The Federal Cabinet has also endorsed the trial of additional corruption cases, including cipher, during his imprisonment.
