The process of sending back illegal Afghans is accelerating, with hundreds returning to Afghanistan.

The repatriation of illegal Afghans residents from Pakistan has experienced a notable increase, as a significant number have chosen to return voluntarily to Afghanistan to evade potential legal repercussions.

Even before the official declaration from the Pakistani government, numerous undocumented Afghan individuals had commenced their return journey to their native country due to concerns about imminent legal consequences.

On December 8, 2023, a total of 2,055 Afghan citizens said their goodbyes to Pakistan, representing a substantial progress in the continuous repatriation initiatives.

Among those who returned, there were 584 men, 426 women, and 1,045 children.

As of the specified date, a total of 418,980 undocumented Afghans have willingly departed from Pakistan.

The repatriation operation, carried out on December 8, 2023, involved transporting 232 families back to Afghanistan using 124 vehicles.

This joint initiative highlights the collaborative approach embraced by both countries to effectively address the issue.

The situation remains dynamic, with the ongoing return of undocumented Afghans shaping the narrative of cooperation and commitment to legal procedures between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Authorities are actively overseeing and facilitating the repatriation efforts to ensure the well-being of all individuals involved in the process.
