In an operation conducted by security forces in the Tirah valley of Khyber district, three terrorists killed, including a commander, were neutralized on Tuesday morning during a fierce exchange of gunfire.
Following a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists, security forces initiated an operation in the Tirah region of Khyber district, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media division.
This operation resulted in a significant firefight between the terrorists and the security forces, leading to three terrorists killed, including Commander Kifayat, also known as Toor Adnan, according to an ISPR statement. Commander Kifayat was known for his involvement in attacks on both civilians and security personnel.
Subsequently, a search operation was launched in the vicinity to locate any additional terrorists. The ISPR emphasized the security forces’ unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
On Sunday, an exchange of fire with terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district resulted in the martyrdom of a soldier. According to the ISPR, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.
During the operation, a fierce firefight erupted between the troops and the terrorists, tragically leading to the martyrdom of Sepoy Shakeel Shafqat, a 21-year-old resident of Khanewal district.
The military’s media wing noted that thorough sanitization of the area was conducted to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists.
