As Ramadan approaches near, There is a sharp increase in the prices of food items.

Even before the arrival of Ramadan, the prices of food items have increased.

Ramadan is coming and inflation is getting out of control again. Like other cities of the country, the district government and administration in Lahore have failed miserably to control inflation.

According to market sources, prices of onion, ginger, garlic, cassava, apple, banana and papaya have increased.

Apple and cano are Rs 400, banana Rs 200 per dozen, onion price Rs 220 and tomato Rs 169 per kg.

Ghee is being sold at Rs 510, sugar at Rs 155, mutton at Rs 2,200 and chicken at Rs 617 per kg.
