Maulana Tariq Jameel’s older son, Maulana Yusuf Jameel, has confirmed that his younger brother, Asim Jameel, took his own life. On the night of October 29, Maulana Tariq Jameel shared a message on his social media account, announcing the sad news of his son’s accidental death. He asked for prayers during this difficult time and prayed for his son’s place in paradise.

Subsequently, the police clarified that it was a case of suicide, not a homicide. In a video message, the elder brother of the deceased, Maulana Yusuf Jameel, confirmed that Asim Jameel had been battling severe depression since childhood. His condition had worsened over the past six months, and despite receiving medical treatment, including electric shock therapy, his suffering persisted.

According to Maulana Yusuf Jameel, Asim was alone at home and, unable to bear the pain any longer, he took a gun from the security and ended his life. Maulana Yusuf emphasized that there was no enmity or external attack involved; it was a decision that Asim made, and the family accepts it as Allah’s will.
