Hareem Shah husband kidnapped while coming from London, it has been reported that Bilal Shah, the husband of TikTok sensation Hareem Shah, went missing upon his arrival in Karachi from London last week.
In a video statement from London, Hareem Shah claimed her husband had been ‘kidnapped for unknown reasons.’ However, Bilal’s family stated that he was being questioned regarding Hareem’s social media posts.
Hareem and Bilal had been in London for approximately two months after her legal dispute with fellow TikToker Sundal Khattak.
Bilal departed London for Karachi eight days ago and disappeared two days after arriving in Karachi while visiting a local market, according to Hareem Shah.
Sources in Karachi revealed that Bilal informed investigators that Hareem was not directly managing the Twitter account but had allowed someone else to operate it with her consent.
Hareem stated, ‘Bilal and I were in London, and he went to Pakistan for some business. He was unlawfully abducted by unidentified individuals in plainclothes. We filed a complaint at the local police station, but no one had any information about why he was taken. We have also petitioned the court. Bilal has been taken away unlawfully’, Hareem Shah husband kidnapped.
She added, ‘I implore the law enforcement agencies to locate my husband. He has no involvement in politics or activism, and he has no prior criminal record. We are deeply concerned and going through a difficult time.’
A petition has been filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC) regarding Bilal’s ‘unlawful detention’ allegedly by law enforcement personnel.
Shahzadi Begum, the petitioner, stated that her son Syed Bilal had been apprehended by law enforcement personnel on August 27 in the Korangi area, and his whereabouts were unknown.
She argued that her son’s wife, Hareem, was a social media activist, and her husband was apprehended due to her political views on social media.
The petitioner asserted that her son was not involved in any illegal or criminal activities and asked the court to instruct the police and other law enforcement agencies to produce the detainee and provide information about any cases against him.
Hareem, who is currently in the UK, previously faced an inquiry by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) when she posted a video on a social media platform claiming to clear immigration for international travel with a large amount of foreign exchange without any checks. The FIA registered a case against her.
An FIR has been registered at the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) police station regarding the case of Hareem Shah husband kidnapped. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiraz Nazir, FIR no 533/23 was registered based on Shah’s mother’s request.
In her complaint, Shahzadi Begum mentioned that her son was picked up from Street No. 6 in Qayyumabad on August 27, and the unidentified individuals who ‘kidnapped’ him also took his car.
