PTA has declared Rs.200 fines for returning SIM cards.

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced fines for returning SIM cards.

According to the PTA, a decision has been made to impose a fine of Rs. 200 after the return of each SIM by users.

The PTA mentions that this decision has been taken due to the return of 10 lakh SIMs by users each month. The objective is to prevent the frequent swapping of SIM cards, address issues related to fraudulent SIMs, and conserve foreign exchange.

It should be noted that this decision will also apply to users with e-SIMs.
