Here’s some positive news for the country’s economy: the export of meat and meat products from Pakistan has shown a year-on-year increase in the first five months of the current financial year.
According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, from July to November, the country earned $201.11 million in foreign exchange from these exports. This amount is 42.47% higher compared to the same period in the last fiscal year.
In the previous financial year, the country earned $141.15 million from the export of meat and meat products during the same period, according to the report.
The State Bank data reveals that the export volume for meat and meat products in November reached $42.89 million, compared to $43.81 million in October and $30.59 million in November of the previous year.
Looking ahead, in the fiscal year 2023, the country earned more than $388.87 million in foreign exchange from the export of meat and meat products, as per the report.
