The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced that it will only provide electricity to people who pay their bills.
According to an ISCO spokesperson, they are taking a strict stance against customers who don’t pay their bills, and they have increased their efforts to take action against both current and past non-paying customers.
Electricity bills
The spokesperson mentioned that on the previous day, they managed to collect Rs. 45,23,000 from 222 customers who were not paying their electricity bills. They also collected dues amounting to Rs. 16,24,00,000 from 15,083 customers with outstanding bills, and more than Rs. 17,35,00,000 from 6,958 customers who had not paid their bills for a long time.
Overall, ISCO has collected a total of Rs. 335.9 million from 21,671 customers who were not paying their bills.
