Air quality index in Lahore has reached a concerning level, with the particulate meter registering a record 330 at 7 am. The Air Quality Index (AQI) indicates that central Punjab, encompassing Lahore and Faisalabad, still faces significant pollution from smog.
The city has been officially declared the most polluted, given the recorded particulate meter reading of 330 at 7 am on Monday. The polluted air has made breathing difficult for Lahore’s residents.
In response to the high air quality index, the Punjab government has mandated the use of masks throughout the province for a week.
