The process of sending back Afghans residing illegally in various cities of the country is ongoing.
Official records show that on January 9, an additional 913 Afghani people left Pakistan. Among them were 224 men, 197 women, and 492 children. These Afghan citizens, from 62 families in 38 vehicles, were repatriated to Afghanistan.
It’s important to note that even before Pakistan’s announcement, many Afghans staying illegally were returning to Afghanistan to avoid potential arrest.
It’s worth mentioning that, like the rest of the country, there were numerous illegal residents in Karachi. Illegal activities such as smuggling and extortion were prevalent due to the presence of unauthorized foreigners. The positive aspect is that the Pakistani government and military leadership are working together to continue the removal of illegal individuals from the country.
