The Ministry of Manpower in the United Arab Emirates has declared a public holiday on January 1, 2024, to commemorate the New Year. As per reports from Arab media, the Council of Ministers approved the decision, stipulating that January 1 will be observed as a public holiday in both the government and private sectors for the New Year.
As per the official statement, educational institutions will be shut on January 1, and operations will resume on January 2 in both government and private establishments.
Similar to previous years, there will be a grand fireworks presentation at the Burj Khalifa, drawing thousands of spectators to the United Arab Emirates.
The authorities have released details about tickets for witnessing the Burj Khalifa fireworks show. Tickets are priced at 150 dirhams for children aged four to 12 years and 300 dirhams for adults.
