After achieving a significant increase in rice and cotton production, Punjab experiencing a remarkable rise in the production of both these valuable crops. This year, Punjab is set to export an additional $2 billion worth of rice.
Following the successful rice and cotton production, the Punjab government, under the leadership of caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, has taken important steps to boost rice production. During a special meeting, it was revealed that Punjab exported rice worth $1 billion last year, and this year’s rice exports are expected to double compared to the previous year.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed optimism that Pakistan’s rice exports could potentially reach $5 billion in the next two years.
