The cost of fish raised with the cooling of the weather.

With the onset of colder weather, there is a noticeable surge in fish demand, leading to an increase in cost of fish. The overall impact of heightened demand and inflation has reached the fish market, resulting in a 50% increase in fish prices compared to the previous season.

Cost of Fish in Markets

Media reports indicate that Kala Raho farm fish is now priced at Rs 500 per kg, Kala Raho desi fish at Rs 800 per kg, civil fish fetching up to Rs 1800 per kg, and Malhi fish available at Rs 600 to Rs 700 per kg.

Similarly, thela fish is being retailed at Rs 450, and chada fish at Rs 200 to Rs 400 per kg. Traders attribute the rising prices to the increased cost of fish production over the past year, aligning with the trend seen in other commodities.
