A teenager who was arrested when they found a famous Sycamore Gap tree in the UK cut down has been let out on bail.
The 16-year-old was taken into custody for possibly damaging the Sycamore Gap tree at Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland.
The Northumbria Police mentioned that the teenager has been released on police bail while they continue to investigate.
The tree, sometimes called the “Robin Hood Tree,” was in a famous movie called Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves from 1991. This movie starred Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman.
People are told to stay away from the place near Crag Lough while they make it safe.
Even though some people thought the tree was 300 years old, the National Trust says it was actually planted between 1860 and 1890.
