The second solar eclipse 2023 is coming on Saturday, October 14, and people in North America will be able to see it. But folks in Arab countries and Pakistan won’t get to see this one.

If you’re in North America, especially on the western side of the Texas mountains, you’ll have a great view of this solar eclipse 2023. During the eclipse, the Moon will completely cover the Sun, making a cool “Ring of Fire” visible. NASA says the whole eclipse will last about 3 hours, but the Ring of Fire part will only last 6 minutes.

In 2023, there’s also a second lunar eclipse on October 28. It starts at 11:02 PM, goes total at 1:14 PM, and finishes on October 29 at 3:26 PM. People in Pakistan will be able to see this lunar eclipse.

Using eye protection during an eclipse is really important. When the sun is partly covered during an eclipse, it’s still pretty bright, and staring at it directly can harm your eyes. So, wearing special sunglasses can help you safely enjoy the view.
