The authorities have alerted the administration to stay vigilant due to expected bad weather in Murree over the next two days.
According to the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) spokesperson, heavy rain and snowfall are likely in Murree, Guliyat, and nearby areas on February 18th and 19th.
The PDMA spokesperson mentioned a 70 percent chance of snowfall on Saturday and Sunday in Murree, Guliyat, and Gard Nawah, with a 75 percent chance of rain and snow on Monday.
The weather in Murree will remain uncertain until February 22nd, as per the PDMA spokesperson, and the local administration is prepared to handle any situation.
Tourists are advised to be cautious while traveling in light of the bad weather, as instructed by the PDMA spokesperson.
The Meteorological Department predicts a series of western winds entering the western regions of the country from the night of February 17th, leading to possible rain in the upper central regions from February 17th to 21st.
During February 17th to 21st, there may be rain in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the possibility of snow in the mountains, along with rain in Islamabad, Punjab, Murree, and Guliyat. Furthermore, on February 18th and 19th, there’s a chance of rain in Multan, Bhakkar, Rajanpur, and DG Khan.
