Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn, and Andrew Pittock have resigned from their positions. The PCB spokesperson stated that Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn, and Andrew Pattick made the decision following changes in their roles in November last year. They stepped down from their roles after being assigned duties at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
According to the PCB spokesperson, Mickey Arthur took on the role of director for the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team in April last year. Grant Bradburn assumed the position of head coach for the Pakistan national team earlier in the same year. Andrew Patak, a former South African cricketer, served as Pakistan’s batting coach since April last year.
Before his recent role, Mickey Arthur served as the head coach of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team from 2016 to 2019, during which Pakistan achieved the number one position in the ICC Test Team Rankings and won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Mickey Arthur has also held coaching positions with South Africa, Australia, and Sri Lanka in international cricket.
Grant Bradburn, a 57-year-old who represented New Zealand in 18 international matches from 1990 to 2001, served as the fielding coach for the Pakistan Men’s team from 2018 to 2020. Later, he took on the High-Performance Coaching role at the National Cricket Academy until October 2021. He was the head coach when the Pakistan team secured the No. 1 position in the ICC One Day International Team Rankings in 2023.
All three individuals communicated their decision to resign from their respective positions to the Pakistan Cricket Board, with the departure set for the end of January. This decision was reached amicably among all stakeholders. The PCB expresses its best wishes for their future endeavors and is grateful for their services.
