An Indian woman Anju, now known as Fatima, gained widespread attention for marrying Nasrullah from Upper Dir in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After their Facebook friendship, they married five months later and arrived in Upper Dir on July 22.
Anju, 34, left Pakistan two days ago to reunite with her two children in India. Nasrullah expressed hope that she would return to Pakistan after two or three months, as her one-month visa had expired. Efforts to extend the visa faced difficulties, and the formal process was expected to take four months to one year.
Despite an earlier one-year visa extension granted in August, Anju decided to return to India. Nasrullah plans to bring her back to Pakistan if he obtains a visa for India. Anju, facing a divorce case from her first husband in India, expressed a strong desire to meet her children.
Grateful for the support from the people of Dir, Nasrullah mentioned the possibility of a permanent move to Dubai for a peaceful life, bringing Anju closer to her children. The couple, known for their court marriage and conversion to Islam in Upper Dir, received widespread love and respect from locals and organizations, with several companies offering plots and gifts.
