After heavy rainfall in six states of the United Arab Emirates, schools and colleges are closed today.
According to reports from Arab media, educational institutions in six states, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah, will not operate today due to heavy rains and hailstorms.
These six states experienced heavy rain accompanied by thunder and hail. Consequently, the education authorities in Dubai and Sharjah have declared a holiday for schools and colleges.
Emirati officials have advised both public and private sector employees to work from home, and citizens are urged not to go out unless necessary.
It’s important to note that the Meteorological Department has issued a severe weather warning, and more rainfall is expected according to their forecasts.
