Reportedly, Rockstar Games is gearing up to unveil Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer as early as this week, with a trailer for the highly anticipated game expected to be released in December, commemorating 25 years of Rockstar Games.

In February 2022, Rockstar confirmed active development of the next installment of GTA. A prior Bloomberg report revealed that GTA 6 trailer will introduce the series’ first female protagonist, inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, and will be set in a fictionalized version of Miami, resembling the location used for 2002’s GTA: Vice City.

A significant leak last year featured 90 videos of GTA 6 footage online, showcasing a female playable character in the early stages of robbing a restaurant. The gameplay was unfinished, with placeholder text and the game engine in debug mode. Another leaked clip depicted a character on a “Vice City Metro” train.

Notably, a London jury found a teenage member of the Lapsus$ hacking group responsible for high-profile cyberattacks on Rockstar Games, Uber, and Nvidia. This individual released the leaked gameplay videos of GTA 6 after threatening Rockstar Games.

The revelation of GTA 6’s name and location may be accompanied by a timeline for the game’s release. Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) recently marked its 10th anniversary and has sold over 185 million copies since its initial launch in 2013.

GTA V has spanned multiple console generations and continues to receive updates for GTA Online. Grand Theft Auto VI is anticipated to arrive in 2024. Fans and gamers alike are eagerly anticipating this latest installment in the iconic franchise.
