ISRO Successfully Tests Gaganyaan Spacecraft.

On Saturday, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) achieved a significant milestone of testing Gaganyaan Spacecraft in its space exploration efforts.

They conducted a successful test of the emergency escape system for their upcoming human spaceflight mission called Gaganyaan, set to launch in 2024. This mission aims to demonstrate India’s capabilities in human spaceflight.

During the test, the crew module separated from the rocket’s thruster and made a gentle landing in the sea about 10 minutes after the launch. ISRO’s chief, S. Somanath, expressed happiness about the Gaganyaan Spacecraft mission’s success and highlighted that it demonstrated the effectiveness of the crew escape system.

He explained that the escape system safely moved the crew module away from the rocket, and the subsequent operations, including the sea landing, were well executed.

India has ambitious plans for space exploration, including the establishment of a space station by 2035 and projects like a Venus orbiter and a Mars lander.
