Australia won the Sydney Test against Pakistan by 8 wickets, completing a clean sweep of the three-match series.
In the fourth day’s play, Pakistan set a target of 130 runs for Australia to win. The Kangaroos achieved the target, losing 2 wickets in the process. Opener Usman Khawaja was out for zero, and David Warner scored 57 before being dismissed by Sajid Khan.
Other notable contributions came from Steven Smith (4 runs) and Marnus Labuschagne (55 runs).
Earlier on the same day, Pakistan was bowled out for 115 runs in their second innings. Mohammad Rizwan scored 28, Aamir Jamal 18, and Hasan Ali 5. Abdullah Shafiq, Shan Masood, Sajid Khan, and Salman were all out for zero. Saem Ayub played an innings of 33, and Babar Azam contributed 23 runs. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood took 4 wickets, while Nathan Lyon took 3.
Notably, Pakistan faced significant defeats in the Melbourne Test by 79 runs and in the Perth Test by 360 runs.
