Pakistani airlines began using the airspace of Iran as relations between the two countries improved.

After a period of tension between Pakistan and Iran, things are getting better, and now Pakistani airlines are starting to use Iranian airspace. In the last 24 hours, several Pakistani flights have flown through Iran’s airspace, like they used to do before.

For example, a PIA flight from Toronto to Karachi passed through Tehran at an altitude of 37,000 feet for about 2 hours. Another flight from Islamabad to Dammam also flew over Iran, and even the Dubai-Islamabad flight PK 112 used Iranian airspace.

A special flight from Al Huf in Saudi Arabia to Islamabad also went through Iran, and the Karachi to Istanbul flight reached its destination via Tehran.

But, most of Pakistan’s flights are following the route over the Gulf of Oman, as advised by official guidelines.

It’s worth mentioning that the situation between Pakistan and Iran has improved recently, and both countries have decided to bring back their ambassadors by January 26. The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdullahyan, is also planning to visit Pakistan on January 29, invited by Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani.
