The catastrophic Morocco earthquake resulted in the loss of 296 lives and left numerous individuals injured.

The death toll in Morocco earthquake has climbed to 296 lives following a late-night earthquake disaster, with hundreds of individuals sustaining injuries.

As reported by international media outlets, numerous buildings crumbled as a result of the magnitude 6.8 earthquake, leading to people being trapped beneath the rubble. Morocco’s Interior Ministry has officially confirmed the death toll at 296, with hundreds more left injured.

According to the US Geological Survey, the Morocco Earthquake epicenter was located 72 kilometers from the popular tourist city of Marrakech and reached a depth of 18 kilometers. Aftershocks with a magnitude of 4.9 were recorded just 19 minutes after the initial earthquake.

Local residents have taken it upon themselves to initiate rescue efforts to extricate those trapped under the debris. Additionally, disturbing videos of the earthquake are being shared widely by the local population.
