PTI leaders got in trouble for organizing protests and rallies in Lahore and Islamabad.

Several leaders from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been charged with organizing protests and rallies in Lahore and Islamabad.

In Islamabad, the Kohsar police filed a case against PTI leaders and supporters for holding a rally. The case accuses PTI leaders and around 1,000 others of disrupting government operations, breaking Section 144 rules, and showing weapons.

Some of the PTI figures named in the case include Sher Afzal Marwat, Ali Bukhari, Shafqat Awan, and Shoaib Shaheen. Additionally, Aamir Mughal, Shaukat Basra, Ayaz Amir, Khalid Khurshid, and Seemabia Tahir are also mentioned in connection with the rally.

In Lahore, PTI leaders and supporters faced more legal issues after their arrest, with a case filed against them at the Old Anarkali police station. Serious charges like terrorism, kidnapping, car tampering, and harassment were brought against them.

Fauzia, Hadira, and Hamida Bibi are named in the case, with the FIR alleging that during the protest, Hafiz Farhat Abbas encouraged workers to damage government property and commit arson. The FIR also accuses PTI workers of damaging an official vehicle and claims that Abbas and some accomplices fired shots during the demonstration.

It’s reported that one of the shots hit an official vehicle, while Abbas and his associates allegedly tore off a police constable’s uniform and attempted to kidnap him; he was rescued from Istanbul Chowk.

In response, the police arrested 42 individuals and confiscated sticks used by the protesters.
