After joining FIFA, referee courses have been started by Pakistan Football Federation. Along with this, the referees belonging to the Pakistan Football Referee Association have been given the right to vote in the upcoming election.
Even the list of 260 referees affiliated to 6 associations across the country has been released.
More than 37 percent of the referees’ voters are referees belonging to the Punjab Football Association.
About 22 percent belong to Balochistan Football Association, while the number of referees belonging to Sindh Football Association is about 20 percent.
15% of other associations belong to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
260 referees from all over the country have received training in referee courses organized by Pakistan Football Federation after joining FIFA.
PFF has been given a deadline by FIFA to conduct the elections by March next year.
In case of failure, Pakistan Football Federation may lose its membership.
It should be remembered that the representatives of the referee association have a very important role in the selection of the president in the executive committee of PFF consisting of 26 members.
