The British Embassy Pakistan has given an explanation about why Afghan refugees are going to the UK.
A spokesperson from the British Embassy Pakistan mentioned that the UK is only arranging flights for Afghans who are part of the resettlement plan. They also said that Afghans who aren’t part of this plan shouldn’t go to Islamabad Airport.
In a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority released yesterday, it was mentioned that 2,000 Afghan refugees will be sent to the UK. Chartered flights will continue until December, and the refugees will start departing for the UK from October 26.
