In Karachi, fuel supply to the national airline PIA resumed yesterday, allowing flights to start again. Earlier, PIA faced schedule disruptions due to a lack of fuel and administrative issues. This resulted in the cancellation of 19 domestic and international flights and significant delays for more than 20 flights.
However, a spokesperson has now confirmed that fuel supply has restarted, and flights at various airports have resumed. PIA has reached an agreement with Pakistan State Oil to ensure daily fuel supply, with Pakistan airline paying Rs 10 crore per day for fuel.
The spokesperson added that after the fuel supply resumed, flight PK 307, which was grounded in Lahore, departed for Karachi, and flight PK 309, previously stuck in Islamabad, is also on its way to Karachi.
