In Islamabad, it’s possible that petrol price will go down by a lot in Pakistan because the cost of gasoline and diesel has dropped worldwide. Gasoline now costs $102 per barrel, which is $12 less, and diesel costs $117 per barrel, which is $9 less.
Because of this global drop in petrol price, it’s expected that local gasoline prices may go down by Rs. 38 per liter, and diesel prices may decrease by Rs. 18 per liter.
Additionally, the value of the Pakistani rupee has been going up, which might also lead to lower gas prices. However, the final decision on these price changes will be made on October 15.
As a reminder, the interim government had previously reduced the price of gasoline by Rs. 8 on September 30, making the new price Rs. 323.38 per liter. High-speed diesel also became cheaper by Rs. 11, now costing Rs. 318.18 per liter.
