Several late-night talk shows are getting ready to come back on TV. Notably, “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” are among the first shows expected to start making new episodes.
This is happening because the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) have tentatively agreed on a new labor deal.
These talk shows had to take a break in May when the writers went on strike, which means they were some of the first TV shows to be affected by the labor issue in the television industry.
Once the strike is officially over, and the new agreement is approved, these late-night talk shows are all set to come back. This will give the writers a chance to go back to work, and the production teams can start making new episodes.
When these shows return, they will have their regular hosts, like “The Late Show,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “The Tonight Show,” and “Late Night.” However, “The Daily Show” faced a unique situation during the strike because Trevor Noah, the usual host, wasn’t there, so they had different guest hosts.
