The White House said there is no disagreement between the United States and Canada on Hardeep Singh Nijjar killing as Canada’s accusation that India was involved in the murder, a Canadian Sikh separatist near Vancouver.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau caused a diplomatic dispute by alleging that Indian agents were connected to the killing.
Jake Sullivan, President Joe Biden’s national security advisor, stated, “I’ve seen attempts in the media to create problems between the United States and Canada on this issue.”
“I strongly disagree that there is any division between the US and Canada,” he told reporters while talking on Hardeep Singh Nijjar killing, adding that “we are deeply concerned about the allegations.”
According to a corrected article in The Washington Post, Canada had asked its allies, including the United States, to publicly condemn the Sikh leader’s assassination, while pointing the finger at New Delhi.
