In a joint effort to stop hoarding and smuggling, the military and government agencies across the country have made significant progress.
During operations from January 5 to February 11, a large amount of illegal goods were seized in 77 operations nationwide, worth billions of rupees. This helps to ensure a fair market and economic stability.
The seized items included 11.757 metric tons of fertilizer, 3.687 metric tons of flour, and 24.856 metric tons of sugar, showing the scale of illegal activities disrupted.
Since the crackdown started in September 2023, 400 operations have been carried out against hoarders, showing law enforcement’s dedication.
During this time, a substantial amount of contraband has been found, including 19,051.372 metric tons of fertilizer, 2,408.629 metric tons of flour, and 7,635.871 metric tons of sugar.
The caretaker government, along with the military and relevant government agencies, is determined to eliminate hoarding and smuggling from the country’s economy.
