The Chief Election Commissioner stated that there is no chance of delaying elections in KP and Balochistan.

Islamabad: Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja has said that there is no possibility of postponing the elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Sikandar Sultan Raja, speaking informally to journalists after the Election Commission meeting, said that it has been decided in the meeting that the elections will be held on February 8.

He said that the Election Commission has provided a level playing field to all political parties, using Election Management System (EMS) instead of RTS for transparent elections.

It should be noted that the Election Commission of Pakistan has convened an important meeting today in view of the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan.
