Lahore now offers online services for taking driving tests.

As part of the ongoing Digital Driving Permit initiative, the e-Khidmat Markaz at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) in Lahore has introduced online services driving tests.

The Punjab Traffic Police and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) collaborated to enhance the effectiveness of driving licenses across the province.

The introduction of the Driving Test Service at the e-Khidmat Centre ASTP is the initial step in a broader plan to expand this service to all e-Khidmat Marakiz throughout Punjab.

A meeting was held to seamlessly integrate the online driving test service into the existing e-Khidmat framework as part of the pilot initiative.

Previously, the interim administration had introduced various online facilities to simplify the process of obtaining a driving license.

In December, the traffic police announced that citizens could digitally renew their novice permits from home, aiming to reduce overcrowding at the Facilitation Centres by 90%.

The provincial authorities recently approved increased fees for obtaining a driving license.

In a statement, the Lahore Traffic Police mentioned that individuals can now obtain their car and motorcycle learner’s permits for Rs. 500, valid for up to five years.
