ISLAMABAD: The Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, mentioned that the Election Commission has met the constitutional requirements for the upcoming elections. He emphasized the responsibility to give people the chance to vote.
During an interview with a foreign TV channel, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar highlighted that Pakistan has been hosting Afghan refugees for four decades. However, he expressed concerns about illegal foreigners posing a security threat, emphasizing the importance of entering Pakistan with legal documents.
The caretaker prime minister acknowledged speculations but assured that preparations for the elections are underway in Pakistan. He stressed their responsibility to enable people to vote, noting that the process has been completed, and international observers will be present during the elections.
Addressing economic concerns, he stated that economic recovery is a top priority, and they are meeting the conditions of the IMF. Economic reforms are deemed necessary to steer economic indicators in the right direction.
The Caretaker Prime Minister also condemned all forms of terrorism, highlighting Pakistan’s crucial role in the regional situation. He emphasized the strengthening strategic relations with China over time.
