In Islamabad, the Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for the petition regarding PTI’s bat symbol on January 10.
During the hearing on the PTI’s equal playing field petition, PTI leader Hamid Khan was called by the court and appeared before the bench. The Chief Justice asked if the hearing should be scheduled for the next day, but Hamid Khan requested an immediate hearing.
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa mentioned the availability of a 9-member bench and a special bench today. Hamid Khan expressed the preference for a hearing today, and if not possible, then tomorrow.
The Chief Justice inquired whether the appeal was against a decision or if there was a request under section 184/3. Hamid Khan clarified that he filed the case in the Supreme Court under section 185/3 against the Peshawar High Court’s order.
The Chief Justice mentioned that if the matter didn’t go to the Judges Committee, the case was scheduled for the day after yesterday.
Subsequently, the court fixed the bat symbol case for a hearing on January 10.
