Imran Khan’s appeal against the Tosha Khana reference decision has been dismissed.

The Islamabad High Court has declined the plea to retract the appeal filed by the founder chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf against the decision related to the Tosha Khana reference.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court issued the decision to dismiss the application. It’s noteworthy that on October 21, 2022, the Election Commission had announced the decision to disqualify Imran Khan, the founder chairman of PTI, as a member of the assembly.

In response, Imran Khan had approached the High Court on October 28, 2022, challenging the decision. Subsequently, on January 18, 2023, the founder chairman of PTI submitted a request to withdraw the appeal, citing the matter’s pending status in the Lahore High Court.

Following arguments from both parties, the court reserved its judgment on September 13, 2023, and this decision was delivered today.
