Dinesh Fadnes, the well-known actor from the television series CID, passed away on Monday night. His co-star, Dayanand Shetty, who played ‘Daya’ in CID, confirmed the news and dispelled earlier reports of a heart attack. According to Shetty, Dinesh had a liver problem, for which he was undergoing treatment and on a ventilator for several days.

Contrary to initial reports on December 3 suggesting a heart attack, Shetty clarified that Dinesh’s health decline was due to a liver issue. Unfortunately, on Monday night, Dinesh’s condition worsened, leading to respiratory distress and his passing.

At 57, Dinesh Fadnes was known for his role as ‘Fredericks’ in CID and also had a cameo in the comedy-drama Tarik Mehta’s Ulta Chashma. CID, which premiered in 1998, holds the distinction of being one of India’s longest-running television shows.
