Two Indian airline’s emergency landing at Karachi airport due to the deteriorating health of passengers on board.
In the case of an IndiGo Airlines flight from India, originating in Jeddah, it touched down at Karachi airport at 4:15 in the morning. The health of a female passenger, Johra Bi, declined during the journey, prompting the captain to request permission from the Pakistan air traffic controller for an emergency landing in Karachi.
Upon landing, medical assistance was promptly provided to the passenger at Jinnah Terminal. Unfortunately, despite efforts, she did not survive. The aircraft transported the deceased passenger and departed for its intended destination in India at 6:15 am.
Simultaneously, another international flight from Muscat to Karachi experienced a sudden deterioration in a passenger’s health. As the plane approached for landing, the passenger suffered an epileptic seizure. Swift action was taken, and the aircraft made a prompt landing. The passenger was then transferred to a private hospital via the civil aviation ambulance.
